On arrival in Johannesburg you will change to a domestic flight to Hoedspruit. At Hoedspruit airport you will be picked up and driven to Kambaku Safari Lodge in the Timbavati. Here you will spend 3 nights and experience an unbelievable safari in big five game reserve in a rustic, yet romantic safari lodge. The chalets have an en-suite bathroom, a double four-poster bed with mosquito nets and stunning views.
At Kambaku you will have the opportunity to go on morning and evening game drives, these are the best times of the day to view the wildlife, especially the members of the Big Five. During the day when temperatures can get rather warm, you can have the chance to relax and enjoy the lodges beautiful facilities and shady common areas.
For those guests who would like to take the opportunity to go on an adventure into the bushveld can do so on a guided game walk with your game ranger. This is an amazing experience to really appreciate the magnificent beauty and greatness of the African Bush.
Going on game walks is a fantastic experience as you see many more of the small creatures that you often miss when you are in a vehicle. Also it is an awe inspiring feeling to come face to face with some of the larger African animals when you are on foot.

Day Day 4-8 Victoria & Alfred Hotel/Cape Town
After a glorious breakfast and one last early morning game drive, you will depart this little jewel of a place. You will be picked up and driven to the airport in Hoedspruit from where you will fly to Cape Town via Johannesburg.
Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will pick up your rental car and drive into the city (approximately a 40 minute drive). In Cape Town you will stay at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel in the waterfront. The Victoria & Alfred Hotel is located at water side, with beautiful harbour and mountain views, and is a perfect base for exploring Cape Town.
You will spend 5 nights in Cape Town which will give you time to explore the city as well as the Cape Winelands. When visiting the Cape make sure not to miss the sights and sounds at the V&A Waterfront, the famous icon of the city – Table Mountain, the breath-taking Cape Point and of course the spectacular Camps Bay for cocktails and sunsets.
Take a scenic drive to Cape Point, the end point of the Cape Peninsula and its breathtaking views. On your way there, drive via Hout Bay to the beautiful Chapman's Peak. Cape Point is a lovely setting and a great place to stop for lunch; on the way back towards Cape Town we also suggest that you visit the Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach in Simons Town. Stop in the Constantia Winelands at Groot Constantia and Eagles Nest.
Enjoy a morning in the V&A Waterfront and don't miss the ferry tour to Robben Island.

Going over the Helshoogte pass to Franschhoek, stop at La Motte, Antonij Rupert, La Petite Ferme and Haute Cabriere wine estates.
Active travelers can take bicycle, segway and horse back riding tours of the vineyards. There is also plenty to discover in the historic towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, both littered with quaint sidewalk cafes, curio shops, art galleries, museums and more.
