The Trip in Detail
A closer look at your holiday
Day 1-4 Black Rhino/Pilanesberg
Pilanesberg is one of South Africa’s best national parks, featuring the famous Big 5 and a huge range of other large and small animal species. For visitors wanting malaria free safari with equally impressive game and landscapes as the Kruger, this is the ideal reserve, and with just a 2 hour drive from Johannesburg, the park is easily accessible.
Black Rhino has its own concessionary area within the Pilanesberg, meaning that visitors get to experience a private reserve with much lower vehicle numbers, as the public are not permitted in the Black Rhino area of the park. Sightings are thus much quieter and more authentic.

Day Day 4-8 Walden House/Cape Town
From the Pilanesberg, travel back to Johannesburg and catch a flight down to beautiful Cape Town.
Cape Town provides a myriad of fun activities, great shopping, historical sites and amazing scenery. Exploring the city is easy from the red city sightseeing buses. Trips start at the V&A Waterfront, and you can choose either the red route or blue route. Buses are hop-on hop-off, giving you plenty of time to explore each stop, including Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, World of Birds, Mariner’s Wharf, Constantia’s beautiful wine farms and more.
The Mother City also possesses beautiful beaches, including Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno, and be sure to take a trip to the top of Table Mountain, explore Robben Island, walk through the Company Gardens and Green Market Square, and discover the many cafes, bars, book shops and curio stores in Long Street.
Walden House is located in the Tamboerskloof suburb of Cape Town, ideally located to explore the city and its surrounds and within several kilometers of Table Mountain, Camps Bay and Clifton beaches and the V&A Waterfront.
