Weekend at Buffelsdrift
We recently spent 2 nights at Buffelsdrift Game Lodge in the Klein Karoo. This is a great place for a mini break or a first stop on a Garden Route Trip.
We stayed in family tent which works perfectly when travelling with children as it consist of a double room that leads into a spacious bathroom which connects with a twin room. The tents at Buffelsdrift are nicely decorated and spacious
and they have air-conditioning, something that is needed in the Karoo on hot summer days and cold winter nights.
The first day we spend enjoying the lodge and going on an elephant interaction. This was certainly the highlight for our daughter Emilie. We all loved it but she was really in heaven, she could not stop talking about it.
The following day Emilie and I also went on a 2-hour game drive. Well done to our game ranger who entertained us and showed us some really nice game sightings. Even Emile managed to sit still for the entire trip.
Buffelsdrift is a great family destination and I can thoroughly recommend it. Everything here was great, from the food to the service to the accommodation and last but not least the lovely spa where Alex spent some time in the afternoon.
